BAAIGC
Bay Area Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs

History:

The Bay Area Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs was founded as a Non-Profit Corporation in the fall of 1992. It began with the ten clubs listed on the home page. The member clubs have committed to working together for the betterment of the sport of gymnastics, especially in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Purpose:

BAAIGC is dedicated to the promotion of the wonderful sport of gymnastics through increased public awareness and education. Each member club must maintain the high standards of competency and service set forth by the BAAIGC to retain membership in this organization.

Advertising:
BAAIGC has run several television advertising campaigns on both a local independent television station and local Bay Area cable stations. Several print advertising campaigns in local "parent-child" periodicals are run from time to time. Many member clubs have gotten together to put on booths at family oriented fairs that happen occasionally.

Seminars:
Training seminars for Pre-School Aged Gymnastics, Red Cross First Aid and CPR, USAG Safety Certification and PDP Development, and Effective Gymnastics School Management.

Competitions:
The San Francisco Challenge was the first major gymnastics invitational ever to be held in San Francisco. The goal was to promote gymnastics in the community through attracting top level gymnastics competitors from around the country to come and compete in San Francisco. Forty gymnastics clubs from ten states were represented.
