Taco Dip Recipe

1 package (8 oz) light or regular cream cheese, softened
2 cups (16 oz) plain yogurt (nonfat or lowfat)
1 package dry taco seasoning mix (1.25 oz)
1 jar (around 8 oz) taco sauce
1/2 head lettuce, shredded
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup sliced scallions
1 cup (around 4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Beat cream cheese until smooth; stir in yogurt and taco seasoning mix.  Chill one hour.  Spread yogurt mixture on bottom of large serving bowl or platter.  Spread taco sauce over yogurt mixture; layer with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, scallions, and cheese.  Serve with chips.  Makes 3 cups of dip.
